Pinacl is delighted to announce that Rachel Hough has achieved her ITIL Foundation Qualification
Rachel Hough, the Project Co-Ordinator and Contact Centre Systems Support for our onsite team at the City of York Council, has achieved her ITIL Foundation Qualification and passed her PRINCE2 Foundation Course.
The ITIL Foundation Certificate provides knowledge of the elements and concepts used in the ITIL Service Lifecycle, including the links between life cycles, the processes, and the contribution to service management practices.
ITIL is the most widely adopted approach in ITSM (IT Service Management). It is globally recognized as the best-practice framework. ITIL’s universal appeal is that it continues to provide a set of processes and procedures that are efficient, reliable, and adaptable to organizations of all sizes, enabling them to improve their own service provision.
ITIL provides guidance to service providers on the provision of quality IT services, and on the processes, functions and other capabilities needed to support them.
As well as achieving her ITIL Foundation Qualification, Rachel also completed and passed her Prince2 Foundation Course in December.
Prince2 Foundation is an essential qualification for Rachel as the PRINCE2 Foundation certification confirms she has sufficient knowledge and understanding of the PRINCE2 methodology enabling her to work in a Project Management role.
PRINCE2 (an acronym for Projects IN Controlled Environments) is a de facto process-based method for effective Project Management. Used extensively by the UK Government, PRINCE2 is also widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally. The PRINCE2 method is in the public domain, and offers non-proprietorial best practice guidance on project management.
